Privacy notice
Effective
The short version
- We use your information only to help connect people with work.
- Carl is the only person who looks at it.
- We never sell it, rent it, or share it for ads.
- We share it with an employer only if you said that is OK.
What we collect
- What you put in our forms. For example your name, phone, email, town, the kind of work you want, and your schedule. For employers: your business name, how to reach you, and the jobs you are hiring for.
- Your resume, if you choose to send one.
- Notes from our conversations. When we talk, Carl may write down things that help, like the work you want or the best time to call.
- Basic form records. When a form is sent, our system notes the date and time and the internet address it came from. This helps us stop spam.
Why we collect it
Only to help connect people with work. That means getting in touch with you and making introductions. We do not use it for anything else.
Who sees it
Carl Zents runs NeighborForge, and he is the only person who looks at your information. It is kept in a private, password protected system.
We do not sell it. We do not rent it. We do not share it for advertising.
Sharing with employers
We share a job seeker's information with an employer only with their permission. On the job seeker form, you choose:
- if we may share your resume with an employer you are being introduced to,
- if we may share your phone number and email with that employer, and
- if Carl should check with you before each introduction, or may set one up and then tell you where and when.
If you leave a sharing box unchecked, we do not share that. You can change your mind any time. Just tell Carl.
If you are an employer, when Carl introduces you to a job seeker he will tell them your business name and the job.
Your resume
Resumes are stored privately. They are not on any public web page, and there is no public link to them. Carl opens a resume only to help you.
See, fix, or delete your information
Want to see what we have about you, fix something, or have it deleted? Contact Carl. Call or text 330-880-1190, or email [email protected].
After we delete your information, a copy may stay in our private backups for a while, until those backups are replaced.
No tracking
Our public pages have no ads, no tracking, and no analytics. They do not set cookies.
It's okay to skip questions
On the job seeker form, we only need your first name, a way to reach you, and your OK to contact you. You can skip everything else.
Please do not send health or medical details, or other private things. We do not need them.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will post the new version on this page with a new date.
